Meet Our Team
Dr. Gavaletz has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2008. He holds a B.S. degree with departmental honors in Zoology from Southern Connecticut State University, and a D.V.M from the University of Florida (2002). His special interests are surgery and exotic animal medicine. In his free time he enjoys golf, cooking, and is an avid Florida sports fan. He has two cats, Cassie and Yoshi Ticklepaws, a dog, Bentley, and a bearded dragon, Pancake.
Dr. Reynolds has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2003. Originally a veterinary technician, she graduated from veterinary school and returned as a veterinarian in 2014. Dr. Reynolds holds a B.S. in Animal Science and Technology from the University of Rhode Island, and B.V.M.S. from the University of Glasgow (2014). In her free time, Dr. Reynolds enjoys relaxing with her pets, watching horror movies, cooking, playing sports, and entertaining family and friends. She also enjoys playing the African drum. She has five cats, Stanley, Zoey, Jaco, Simon and Willie, and a dog, Chester.
Dr. Griffith has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2013. She holds a B.S. degree from Canisius College, and a D.V.M from University of Wisconsin- Madison (2013). She is Fear Free Certified. Her special interests are in Fear Free techniques and preventative medicine. In her free time, she enjoys golf, reading, and hiking. She has a cat named Ruby.
Dr. Markleski has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2022. She holds a B.S. degree from the University of Connecticut, and a D.V.M from Ross University (2014). Her special interests are soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. In her free time, she enjoys concerts, travelling, the beach, and spending time with her family. She has one dog, Moe, and three cats, Mama, Kemba, and Lillian.
Nadine has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2007. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She holds a B.S. degree in Biology with a concentration in Zoology from Southern Connecticut State University. Her special interests are animal behavior, pain management, and dentistry. In her free time she enjoys gardening, hiking, skiing, and conservation of the environment. She has a dog, Stu, a cat, Penelope, and a flock of chickens.
Miranda has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2016. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She is a Certified Veterinary Assistant from Middlesex Community College. Her special interests are physical therapy and surgery. In her free time she enjoys roller skating, hiking, DIY crafts, and metalsmithing. She has a dog, Bricks, and a spotted turtle, Spike.
Janiene has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2018. She holds an A.S. degree in Liberal Arts and Science from Gateway Community College and is a Certified Veterinary Technician from San Juan College. She is Fear Free Certified. Her special interests are animal behavior and communication, emergency medicine, and dentistry. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew, watching or playing sports, learning about true crime, history, and exploring the paranormal. She has three cats, Leyla, Bob, and Ziggy Stardust.
Skylar has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2019. She is Fear Free Certified. Her special interests include dentistry and surgery. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, doing puzzles, and hiking. She has a dog, Buzz, and a bearded dragon, Albus.
Rachel has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2018. She holds a B.S. degree in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University. Her special interests are small animal medicine, large animal medicine, and marine life. In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors with her children. She has two dogs, Ben and Leia, two cats, Dexter and Charlotte, and ten chickens.
Taylor has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2020. She holds a B.A. degree in English. Her special interests are genetics, cytology, and patient advocacy. In her free time, she enjoys writing, dance, mystery novels, and horror movies. She has a dog, Pancake, and three cats, Pucky, Egon, and Loca.
Keyarra has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2021. She holds an A.S. degree in Graphic Design from Housatonic Community College. Her special interest is Fear Free techniques. In her free time she enjoys art, watching movies, and playing video games. She has two dogs, Po and Drax.
Brianna has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2022. She is a Certified Veterinary Assistant from Middlesex Community College. Her special interest is Fear Free techniques. In her free time, she enjoys horror movies and hiking. She has one cat named Luci.
Amanda has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2023. Her special interests are Fear Free techniques and animal behavior. In her free time she enjoys hiking and All Things True crime. She has two dogs, Katsuki and Virginia, and two cats, Wybie and Eevee.
Caitlyn has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2023. Her special interest is marine biology. In her free time she enjoys reading, painting, and traveling. She has a dog, Toby, and a rat, Oscar.
Liz has been working at Branford Veterinary Hospital since 2023. Her special interests are Fear Free techniques, surgery, and cardiology. In her free time she enjoys hiking and fishing. She has a dog, Biscotti, two cats, Aurora and Diego, and a chinchilla, Chichi.
